ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) is monitoring certain individuals in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
These persons could be trafficking illegal drugs, said Police Colonel Leo Batiles, city police director.
Punong Barangay Joel Alvarado asked the ICPO to deploy more policemen in his village. Information reached him that drug trafficking is becoming brisk again in Barangay Bakhaw.
“I have monitored someone there engaged in illegal drugs kag si Kap naghimo gid resolution. May mga naga guwa-sulod nga indi na sila kampante,” said Police Major Rey Sumagaysay.
The police is monitoring at least 10 personalities; some of them had previous drug cases.
Twenty-two policemen were also deployed to Barangy Bakhaw supported by organic police officers in charge of the area.
Sumagaysay said police patrolling of Bakhaw would be made nightly./PN
