
BACOLOD City – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Negros Occidental Third District Engineering Office recently turned-over the P2-million worth of multi-purpose building (covered court) to Cauayan National High School in Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Said structure, funded under the District’s FY 2018 Outside Infra program, will benefit the junior and senior high school students of the said school, as it will serve as venue for various school activities and events, enhancing students’ capabilities in aspects outside the four corners of the classroom.
According to the school principal, Mrs. Vanessa Dawn Fegidero, the realization of the project is a manifestation that partners such as DPWH and other stakeholders are education-oriented having in mind the development of school facilities to provide the needs of the students.
In addition, DPWH will be constructing four more projects in the said school, composed of one 2-Storey Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Laboratory buildings, one 3-Storey Regular Workshop building, and two 2-Storey, 6-Classroom school buildings.
These school building projects are envisioned to provide conducive venues and facilities for quality education, enabling them to realize their full potential./PN
