CAPIZ – In preparation for the upcoming school year, the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) will deploy police personnel outside schools across the province to ensure a safe and orderly opening of classes on June 16.

Police assistance desks will be established near elementary and secondary schools as part of the CPPO’s “Balik-Eskwela” security measures.

In an interview, CPPO spokesperson Captain Merry Chris Dela Cruz said that police officers will be stationed near school premises to address safety concerns and provide immediate assistance to schools when needed.

“Two officers may be assigned outside each school, supported by foot and mobile patrols to prevent crime and respond quickly to any incidents that may occur,” Dela Cruz noted.

She added that community volunteers will also help maintain the safety of students, teachers, and parents during the school opening.

The CPPO also reminded parents not to transport their children on motorcycles without the necessary documents, valid licenses, and safety gear such as helmets. Doing so, Dela Cruz warned, endangers not only the children but also other motorists./PN
