ILOILO City – The Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI) has re-unveiled the schedule of major events and venues for the Dinagyang Festival 2024 on Friday, Dec. 8.
Next year’s edition of the festival has the theme, “Pagdayaw kay Señor Sto. Niño, Padayaw sang mga Ilonggo!”
Over a month before the festival highlight, the Dinagyang Tribes Competition on Jan. 28, the “Pamukaw” will kick-start the festive mood on Saturday, Dec. 16, 6 a.m., at San Jose Parish de Placer.
Pamukaw is Hiligaynon for “wakeup call.”
It will be followed by another major event, the opening salvo, on Jan. 12, 2024 at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand.
Other Dinagyang 2024 major events are the following:
* Miss Iloilo Coronation Night (Jan. 13, Iloilo Convention Center)
* Iloilo Arts and Music Festival (Jan. 19-21, venue to be announced)
* Motorcade of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu (Jan. 24, main city streets)
* Dinagyang Food Festival (Jan. 25-28, downtown area)
* Fluvial and Solemn Foot Procession (Jan. 26, Iloilo River)
* Dinagyang ILOmination Streetdance Competition and Floats Parade of Lights (Jan. 26, Ayala, SM and Megaworld)
* Sadsad sa Calle Real (Jan. 27)
* Festival Parade Sponsors’ Mardi Gras (Jan. 27, downtown area)
* Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan (Jan. 27, downtown area)
