BACOLOD City – A suspected drug peddler was arrested in a sting operation in Barangay 19-A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Lieutenant Colonel Eduardo Corpuz, Victorias police chief, identified the suspect as resident Renneth Goniabo.
The 32-year-old Goniabo sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P500, said Corpuz.
Five more sachets of the prohibited substance valued at around P4,300 were seized during Goniabo’s arrest around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, he added.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Victorias City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
