MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte assured that he will give due process to the two Cabinet members who were being investigated by the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) for alleged corruption.
The Chief Executive said he was already informed of the two Cabinet members but has yet to see the report made by the PACC.
“I have seen it (complaint) and they are investigating. I have yet to have the result,” President Duterte said. “But let us observe due process.”
“If you are corrupt, I will summon you to my office and we will have a one-on-one talk. If there is (an anomaly), I’ll fire you. That’s for sure,” the Chief Executive added.
President Duterte has earlier said that he will not tolerate even a “whiff” of corruption from any government employee.
The Chief Executive, since the start of his term in 2016, have fired several government officials whose names were linked to corruption./PN
