ILOILO City – Eight persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district.
Robert Ferrer, 42; Gerald Dela Torre, 21; Jemwel Aprong, 21; Jaype Aprong, 34; Domingo Villariz, 69; Angelica Edangga, 29; Rosene Lacson, 38; and a minor suspect were caught playing the card games pusoy and lucky nine around 11 p.m. on Nov. 22, police said.
Recovered from their possession were decks of playing cards and P1,021 bet money.
The suspects were taken to the Arevalo police station, facing charges./PN
