BACOLOD City – A former inmate was shot to death by still unidentified gunmen along a narrow alley at Purok Boulevard in Barangay 13 yesterday morning.
Police identified the fatality as 27-year-old Nicko Hosain, a resident of the city’s Barangay 16, and formerly convicted for robbery hold-up charges.
Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, said based on initial investigation carried out by Police Station 1, the victim with his friends identified only as certain Rodel and John were walking when the assailants got off from a white van and shot Hosain several times.
Hosain managed to run towards a narrow alley to get away from the gunmen, although he later succumbed to his wounds and died on the spot.
Pico said they believe Hosain’s shooting was drug-related as they have received intelligence reports that he was involved in selling illegal drugs./PN
