ROXAS City – The son of a former local government official died after figuring in a vehicular crash in Barangay Cabugao, Panay, Capiz.
The 23-year-old Alden Falcis, son of then Sangguniang Bayan member Abner Falcis, was pronounced “dead on arrival” at a private hospital in this capital city, according to Police Officer 2 Ryan Barrera of the Panay police station.
Falcis, a seaman, was driving motorcycle on Sunday when he collided with another motorcycle that fish peddler Melbrin Deseo, also 23, of Barangay Pawa, Panay was driving, investigation showed.
“Suno sa mga testigo, tuman kadasig kag halos nagalupad na ang pagpadalagan sang motor ni Falcis. Nabungguan niya ang likod nga portion sang motor nga gina maneho ni Deseo rason nga tumabog sia mga 10 to 15 meters from the point of impact,” Barrera said.
Bystanders helped Falcis after he fell off his vehicle and hit the concrete road, he added.
“Sia pa mismo suno sang mga nagbulig ang naghukas sang iya helmet kay indi sia kaginhawa,” said Barrera.
Deseo, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries, added the police./PN
