BACOLOD City – A former prisoner was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Villa Jose Housing Project, Barangay 1-A, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
The 40-year-old Rolan “Barok” Atim was a resident of the village.
Officers of the Manapla Municipal Police Station confiscated 3.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P24,000.
Also recovered were black widow caliber .22 revolver and two pieces of ammunition.
Manapla police said Atim was previously arrested for illegal drug case. He was released from jail two months ago.
The suspect is now detained at the Manapla MPS.
He faces charges for violation of the Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
