MANILA – The outcome of the recently concluded 2025 midterm elections could be a proof of the people’s disappointment with government services, according to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In an interview with broadcaster Anthony Taberna during his maiden podcast, the Chief Executive said Filipinos might want to see results rather than explanations.
“‘Yun actually, that’s the lesson we learned from this election. Don’t explain it to us anymore. Just do it. Tama na. Tama na ‘yung mga magagandang paliwanag with the good statistics at ‘yung mga kung ano-anong mga drawing. Basta gawin na lang ninyo,” he added.
President Marcos also stated that the Filipinos have also grown tired of politics, hence his call to set aside politics after the elections and focus on the jobs that need to be done.
President Marcos also assured the Filipinos that government officials, even those in high places, are always ready to listen to their concerns and complaints.
“Hahanapan natin ng long-term solutions. At ngayon, talagang mamadaliin na namin yung immediate solutions na pwedeng gawin, gawain na kaagad. At yun ang mararamdaman ng taong bayan,” he said./PN
