BACOLOD City – Former mayor and vice mayor Antonio Esteban “Tony” Suatengco of Pulupandan, Negros Occidental passed away.

Based on information provided by Peña, Suatengco died on Sunday, 7:30 p.m. at the Doctor’s Hospital in Bacolod City due to acute myocardial infarction/cardiac arrest.
Peña said Suatengco filed his candidacy for mayor for the upcoming May elections. Suatengco’s son, Lorenzo, will substitute.
Suatengco served as mayor of Pulupandan from 1988 to 1992, and again from 1995 to 2004.
He also served as vice mayor of Pulupandan from 2007 to 2016./PN
