BACOLOD City – Four individuals, including a 15-year-old boy, were arrested in separate drug bust operations conducted over two days by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), with authorities seizing over P2 million worth of suspected illegal drugs.
On September 21, alias “Jekjek,” 41, a high-value target and resident of Barangay 2, and alias “Charlie,” 39, from Barangay Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental, were apprehended in Barangay 2. Police recovered around 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 and a caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven live rounds.
The following day, at around 7:46 p.m. on September 22, in Barangay Singcang-Airport, authorities arrested alias “Roy”, 25, and alias “Jay-ar”, a minor, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre. Officers seized approximately 250 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.7 million, along with a caliber .357 revolver loaded with two live rounds.
The suspects are facing charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Police confirmed that the suspects are currently detained at Police Stations 2 and 8, respectively, as investigations continue./PN
