Guimaras gears up for 2nd year of Data Festival

GUIMARAS – This island province, through the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of the Provincial Development Council (PDC), is gearing for the celebration of the 2nd Guimaras Data Festival in line with the 36th National Statistics Month this October, carrying the theme: “Accelerating the SDG Pace of Progress: Mobilizing Data for All.”

This month-long celebration aims to highlight the critical role of data and statistics in local governance, promote appreciation for evidence-based decision-making, elevate data literacy, and further strengthen the province’s data ecosystem.

The PSC underscores its commitment to upscaling the statistical system of Guimaras by engaging the academe, government and non-government partners, and the community in data-driven initiatives and solutions.

As part of the festival, a series of pocket events will showcase how statistics and data can be both informative and exciting, including:

* Data Expo

* 2024 Guimaras Ecological Profile Publication Launching
