GUIMARAS – A young woman allegedly died in a firearm mishap in Sitio Dawo, Barangay Calaya, Nueva Valencia town.
“Inday” was declared dead on arrival at the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan town where she was taken on Wednesday night, Oct. 18.
Her 24-year-old live-in partner John Maghari told the police that “Inday” was handling his .38 revolver when it accidentally discharged, leading to a lethal gunshot wound to her head.
According to Police Major Ahlie Estember, the Nueva Valencia police chief, they have launched an investigation, considering there were reported disputes between the couple as recently as September.
The pair shared a three-year-old child.
