ILOILO – Guimbal’s Mayor Oscar “Oca” Garin Sr. tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), confirmed daughter, Vice Gov. Christine “Tingting” Garin.
Garin Sr. has been admitted to a private hospital in Iloilo City for five to six days already.
“Stable sia, that’s good news. For those nga nagapalangga kay Oca Garin not only sa pagka-politiko niya, nagahingyu man ako nga buligan ninyo kami (pray) nga mag-maayo na sia the soonest,” Garin said in an interview over Bombo Radyo Iloilo.
The vice governor said she was under home quarantine for being a close contact. She was swabbed but tested negative for COVID-19.
On Friday, the family announced Garin Sr. was hospitalized./PN
