ILOLO City – An entrapment operation led to the arrest of a suspected gunrunner in Barangay Poblacion, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Police identified him as 65-year-old Marianito Losañes of Barangay Bontoc, Lambunao.
Losañes allegedly sold an unlicensed submachine gun to an undercover police officer for P15,000.
Police reports also revealed the suspect earlier sold an improvised .45-caliber pistol to a neighbor.
Officers of the Lambunao police station carried out the operation around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 25.
They took the suspect in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
