ANTIQUE – A drinking session between two habal-habal (motorcycle) drivers turned bloody after one of them shot the other to death in Barangay Masanag, Hamtic town over the weekend.

The 42-year-old Janny Mondragon, a resident of the village, succumbed to six gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body, according to the Hamtic Municipal Police Station (MPS).

Police meanwhile identified the suspect as Genpol Managuit, 29, and also a resident of the said place.

According to Major Horizon Villanueva, officer-in-charge of the Hamtic MPS, Mondragon, Managuit and their other friend were having a drinking binge at a hut near the suspect’s house on Saturday afternoon, October 5.

An altercation later ensued between the victim and the suspect that led to the former to go berserk.

Managuit fled after the incident but he voluntarily surrendered to the police around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 6.
