ILOILO City – A policeman was found dead in his boardinghouse in Barangay Lapuz Norte, La Paz district.
At St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo where he was taken, doctors said Police Officer 1 Jake Albert Ordidor, 29, died of cardiac arrest.
A resident of Bohol province, Ordidor was assigned at the Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) Public Safety Company.
His partner discovered him unconscious around 3 a.m. on Monday.
There were no signs of foul play on Ordidor’s body and in his room, said Inspector Edgar Anonoy, La Paz police chief.
Ordidor had just finished training in Negros Occidental. He was initially assigned at the Regional Public Safety Company but last month was reassigned to the ICPO.
Ordidor served the Armed Forces of the Philippines for five years before he applied in the Philippine National Police./PN
