BACOLOD City – In a fit of jealousy, a man allegedly beat his wife to death using a hammer in Barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 44-year-old resident Saler Laurente was accused of killing Delbeth, 40, around 1 a.m. on Feb. 16.
The eldest among the six children whose name was withheld by authorities told police their father had been drunk the past days.
Recovered from the crime scene was a hammer allegedly used by Saler.
The suspect turned himself in to the Kabankalan City police station. He may face a parricide charge./PN
