KOREAN actor Hyun Bin is preparing to crash land in Manila for his first meet and greet event on August 8.
Hyun, who rose to fame through the Netflix hit “Crash Landing on You” with his costar, now wife Son Ye-jin, will be visiting through the invitation of a hotel resort chain, which it announced on its social media platforms on Tuesday, July 1.
Tickets for the fan meet may be secured through a raffle promo from July 1 to 31. A raffle ticket can be availed through every P2,000 single receipt in a dining outlet from its Parañaque and Quezon City branches.
This marks Hyun Bin’s first time visiting the Philippines for a fan meeting. Prior to the announcement, he was previously the endorser of a local clothing brand and telco network.
The actor is one of the leading figures of Hallyu and is also noted for his ability to disappear into his characters.
Hyun Bin is notable for portraying the lead roles in popular K-dramas such as “My Lovely Sam Soon,” “Secret Garden,” and “Crash Landing on You,” the series where his romance with his now wife blossomed. They soon married in March 2022 and now have a son together.Their chemistry was so well received in Korea and other countries, including the Philippines, that their show became one of the most watched series on Netflix.
The Korean superstar is set to be the lead in the upcoming series “Made in Korea” with Jung Woo-sung.
His other appearances in film and TV include “Confidential Assignment,” “Memories of the Alhambra,” “The Snow Queen,” and “The Swindlers,” to name a few.
