ICPO: Watch out for burglars

ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) is warning the public of home burglaries.

ICPO spokesperson Captain Shella Mae Sangrines said residents must secure their homes, especially at night.

“Do not be complacent. Always make sure the doors are locked. Indi tanan mabantayan sang pulis, but we are doing everything nga ma-prevent ang crimes through the help of force multipliers and barangay officials,” Sangrines said.

Mira Yza Costem, 32, and Carl Bryan Anas, 26, were robbed in their apartment in Lopez Subdivision, Barangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao district.

Tagged suspect was Jesseman Gayanan, a security guard.

Gayanan allegedly stole an iPhone 12 Pro Max worth P70,000; a wallet containing cards; laptop worth P30,000; speaker phone worth P1,000; a Vivo phone worth P18,000; and a bag with P3,000 cash inside.  

Police arrested Gayanan in Barangay Boulevard, Molo./PN
