ILOILO City — Cong. Julienne Baronda of this city’s Lone District has bagged the RPMD Award for Outstanding Public Servant for the year 2023.
According to the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), an independent and non-commissioned survey group, the award recognized Baronda’s “unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions in the fields of district representation, legislative performance, and constituent service.”
“Congresswoman Baronda’s dedication to her role is evident in her proactive approach to governance, consistently advocating for the needs and interests of her constituents at both the local and national levels,” said Dr. Paul S. Martinez of RPMD in a statement yesterday.
Aside from her dynamic and results-oriented approach as an active member of the House of Representatives, RPMD cited Baronda’s efforts beyond legislative duties.
Iloilo City’s first congresswoman frequently engages with various national agencies and meets with top officials to secure projects and services that significantly benefit Iloilo City.
“Moreover, Congresswoman Baronda’s commitment to her constituents is reflected in the high trust and job performance ratings she has received,” according to RPMD.
This public acknowledgment underscores the deep connection and trust she has fostered within her community, highlighting her role not just as a legislator, but as a true servant of the people, it stressed.
