ILOILO City – The sixth most wanted man in Iloilo province was arrested at around 3:46 p.m. on July 17, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) reported.
The 39-year-old alias “Vengie”, a laborer from Lambunao, Iloilo, was collared in the town’s Barangay Poblacion Ilawod.
PRO-6 said the suspect has a warrant of arrest for qualified rape issued by a court in Janiuay, Iloilo, dated July 16, 2025.
The accused is now under police custody for proper disposition. No bail was set for his temporary liberty.
Following the arrest, PRO-6 director Brigadier General Josefino D. Ligan said: “Rest assured, we will not stop chasing these criminals and putting them behind bars. Justice must be served for their victims.”/PN
