MANILA – Ilonggo boxer Jomar Fajardo stole the spotlight with a resounding comeback victory in a thrilling boxing event held recently at the Highland Boxing at Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fajardo, a former ABF titleholder from Maasin, Iloilo, showcased his experience and grit as he stopped younger Thai opponent Amon Sumalee in a 135-pound clash.

The win marked a successful return to the ring for Fajardo, who proved he still packs power and poise in the squared circle as he improved to an 18-18-2 win-loss-draw slate, with 10 stoppage wins.

Joining Fajardo in the Filipino winning column were JV Tuazon, Ador Torres, and Lemuel Kenneth De Barbo, all of whom scored emphatic knockout victories that electrified fans in the “Land of Smiles.”

In the co-main event, Tuazon (6-4-2, 4 KOs) blasted Thanakrit Suepchao in their 126-pound duel. Tuazon’s precision and power left no doubt, as he forced a stoppage in a dominant showing.

Meanwhile, Torres (14-7-1, 10 KOs) of Magdalena, Sorsogon, overwhelmed Sakda Thongkhot in a punishing welterweight battle.

Unbeaten 29-year-old De Barbo (3-0, 3 KOs) extended his knockout streak by demolishing Butsakon Mungchueaklang in their Super Featherweight contest.

The event was sanctioned by the Thailand Boxing Commission under the supervision of Chairman Worawuth Duankhao and Voratep Pienvej./PN
