THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has released P227.5 million to the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) as payment for benefit claims for ischemic heart disease-acute myocardial infarction (IHD-AMI), commonly known as heart attack, for the PHC’s 459 patients admitted between December 21, 2024 to July 18, 2025.
This valuable disbursement directly supports patients in their most critical moments. After PhilHealth’s significant increase of its IHD-AMI package benefits coverage effective December 21, 2024, members now have broader access to life-saving heart procedures with less fear of financial burden.
The following enhanced packages are available in accredited health facilities nationwide:
* percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) at P523,853 from P 30,300, an increase of 1,629%;
* fibrinolysis at P133,500 from P30,290, a 900% increase;
* emergency medical services with coordinated referral and interfacility transfer at P21,900; and
* cardiac rehabilitation after PCI at P66,140
