IPPO nets 55 fugitives in two weeks

ILOILO – In a major stride toward enhancing public safety, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), under the leadership of Police Colonel Roland V. Bulalacao, has arrested 55 wanted individuals in just two weeks.

The arrests, made from May 16 to May 31, mark a significant 139.13% increase compared to the 23 arrests recorded during the same period last year.

Among those apprehended were 10 individuals classified as most wanted persons (MWPs), double the number of MWPs arrested during the same period in 2024.

IPPO attributed the success of the operations to the strategic deployment of tracker teams, strategic planning, active community cooperation, and the support of the ‘PRO 6 On TOP’ (Technology-Oriented Policing) initiative, which advances modern policing techniques across Western Visayas.

“We will not rest until every fugitive is brought to justice,” said Bulalacao, reaffirming IPPO’s commitment to public safety as its highest priority.

IPPO continues to urge the public to share information that may lead to future arrests, highlighting the vital role of community involvement in maintaining peace and order across the province./PN
