ILOILO City – Over P5 million worth of illegal drugs was seized and 19 drug suspects, including two minors, were apprehended in a week-long operation across Iloilo province.
Data from the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) showed that from July 14 to 20, 752 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P5.1 million were confiscated from 15 antidrug operations.
IPPO added that of those arrested, six were classified as high-value targets and 13 were tagged as street-level suspects.
The two minor suspects, meanwhile, were turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, acting director of the IPPO, lauded the relentless efforts of the operating units and called for the continued support and cooperation of the community in the fight against illegal drugs and the broader mission to maintain peace and order in the province.
“Ang mga accomplishments nga ini nagapakita sang dedikasyon kag pagpanikasog sang mga tao ta sa pag-away batok sa ilegal nga droga. Padayunon naton ang pagbinuligay para sa ikalinong, mainuswagon kag hilway sa droga nga probinsya sang Iloilo,” Razalan said./PN
