Isabela mayor to new police chief: End drugs

BACOLOD City – Mayor Joselito Malabor of Isabela, Negros Occidental challenged the new municipal chief of police to eliminate the illegal drug problem in the town.

Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, director of the Police Regional Office 6, assigned Senior Inspector Randy Babor as Isabela’s police head, replacing Chief Inspector Ruben Pajarito.

Malabor earlier requested the relief of Pajarito, citing the latter’s “poor performance” in the antidrug and anticrime campaign.

Malabor said the Isabela police station ranked second to the last in terms of performance in the province, based on the latest records from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

“I am challenging the new police chief to do his best and make the Isabela police station No. 1 in the province,” Malabor stressed.

The mayor assured Babor of all the logistical support his personnel will need in the campaign against illegal drugs and other crimes in the town.

Malabor said his office has received reports that the number of illegal drug activities and petty crimes in Isabela are increasing.

“Peace and order are vital to the development and progress of the town, especially in luring investors,” stressed Malabor./PN
