KNOWN as one of the personalities in showbiz who is not afraid of being vocal in things she truly believes in, Jodi Sta. Maria showed up last September 21 and took the stage at Rizal Park, inspiring the crowd in her first-ever rally. The 43-year-old actress addressed the crowd at noontime to inspire and invoke the people to not wane in their fight against the injustices happening in the government.

Gusto ko lang mag-share. This is the very first time na sumali ako sa isang rally na katulad nito.

During her speech, Jodi stressed the importance of calling for accountability and transparency in the rampant corruption practices in government so that the next generations will have a better future.

Before ending her speech, Jodi reiterated to the cheering crowd the need to be united in this fight for changes in the system.

“There has to be change. Change has to happen. Sabi nga nito o, ‘Ang lupa ay buhay. Ang buhay ay hindi kalakal.’ So dapat, huwag tayong tumigil. Collectively, may magagawa po tayo… At siyempre, gusto natin na may managot. Gusto natin na makulong ang corrupt. Maraming salamat po.”

In her Facebook post, the talented actress, shared more inspiring words for her followers.

Jodi’s followers voiced their admiration for the actress’s advocacy to be a voice for the masses and to help put a stronger spotlight on the injustices in the government.

One comment from @jcelsamaniego read, “thank you for using your voice and your platform, ate jods. oras na po talaga para panagutin ang mga dapat managot. hindi na po tayo papayag na harap-harapan niloloko. kasama niyo po kami sa pagtindig, ate.(Push Team)
