MANILA – Kiefer Ravena and Shiga Lakes renewed their mastery over Bambitious Nara with an 81-67 beating in Japan B.League Division 2 over the weekend at the Shiga Daihatsu Arena.
The Iloilo City-native guard played for 26 minutes and finished with 12 points, including two three-pointers, to go with three assists, two steals, and a rebound as the Lakes moved up to 40-15.
Ryan Kriener top-scored for the Lakes with 19 points, including a perfect 9-of-9 free throw shooting, while Brock Motum and James Burrell added 14 and 11 markers, respectively.
Cameron Jackson finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Shaquille Hines added 16 points as Nara dropped to a 20-35 record.
Kiefer’s younger brother, Ferdinand “Thirdy” Ravena III, and San-en NeoPhoenix (39-10) recovered from their previous loss to the Sendai 89ers (21-27) with a 100-81 beating in Division 1 game at the Xebio Arena Sendai.
The younger Ravena finished with 13 points, seven assists, and six rebounds in 29 minutes of action, while Yante Maten delivered a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Elsewhere, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. made his mark for Nagoya Diamond Dolphins as they cruised to a dominant 110-70 triumph over the Toyama Grouses over at the Dolphins Arena.
Parks had one of his best games this season for Nagoya, as he finished with 15 points, five assists, four rebounds, and a steal as the Diamond Dolphins moved up to 31-17 in the standings.
Tim Soares top-scored for the Diamond Dolphins with 17 points; Scott Eatherton added 16 markers; Taito Nakahigashi and Yutaro Suda had 15 and 11, respectively.
Quincy Miller and Yoshiyuki Nozaki tallied 15 markers apiece, while Troy Murphy Jr. added 13 markers as the Grouses dropped to a 4-44 win-loss slate./PN
