Kim Chiu, sister Lakam spark feud speculations after Instagram unfollow

FANS were abuzz after they noticed that Kim Chiu and her older sister Lakam Chiu are no longer following each other on Instagram.

As of 12 noon on Wednesday, Aug. 13, the sisters do not have each other on their respective following list on the platform.

This fueled speculations that Kim and Lakam, who had always been vocal about their closeness, might have had a misunderstanding.

Curious fans also pointed out Kim’s Instagram post last Aug. 4 in which she showed herself bonding with her other sister Wendolyn Chiu.

“Alt + F4 reality for a second,” she stated in the video, referring to the keyboard shortcut to shut down a computer.

“It’s been a ride lately. Not the fun kind,” she added, without expounding on it.

In the caption, Kim wrote, “Didn’t expect it. Didn’t prepare for it. Just needed this moment to breathe.”

Chiu has also been noticeably absent in the past week from the noontime program “It’s Showtime” where she serves as one of the hosts.

It can be recalled in 2023 that Lakam had a health scare due to an undisclosed condition, and that Kim marked her birthday that year with a prayer for the former’s recovery.

“My sister and I have been through a lot while growing up. She sacrificed so much for me. She’s my right hand, and also my left hand.
