ACTRESS Kim Rodriguez appeared unbothered by online buzz linking her to reelected Bulacan’s Gov. Daniel Fernando as she responded to netizens’ comments with a mix of humor and subtle shade.
Rodriguez’s TikTok page was flooded with comments speculating about her relationship with Fernando after their photo posing in front of a luxury car, with the former holding a bouquet of flowers, went viral online. The rumors began a few days before elections in some circles, but the actor-politician and the “Nag-aapoy Na Damdamin” actress have not commented on them.
In one of her videos, the 30-year-old actress filmed herself lip-syncing to Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” with the lyrics, “I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you; they try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth.”
In the comments section, a netizen wrote, “Dedma sa basher basta may Daniel Fernando.”
Rodriguez responded with a comment, simply writing, “Pikit,” and added a laughing emoji.
In a separate video, the “Strawberry Lane” actress lip-synced the Filipino lines, “Nakatapos ako ng pag-aaral, pero dahil sa pagmamahal ko sayo, naging tanga ako sa lahat, kahit Tagalog ng I don’t know, hindi ko alam.”
Another netizen said in the comments, “Fresh naman. Iba talaga alagang Gov Daniel.”
Rodriguez replied, “Taray ng username mo @alwaysbekindtoothers.”
Meanwhile, there were others who defended Rodriguez, pointing out that there is nothing wrong if they are in a relationship since the 63-year-old Fernando is single.
A check at Fernando’s profile does not show that he has been married. He has been governor of the province since 2019.
As of this writing, Rodriguez and Fernando have yet to address the dating speculations. (Jessica Ann Evangelista © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
