KYLIE Verzosa and Jake Cuenca have been posting photos of them together, but never confirmed the real score between them.
The couple talked about their relationship on “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
They first met on the set of “Ang Panday,” and Kylie recalled that Jake wasn’t her type back then because of his long hair. Jake remembered sliding into her direct messages (DMs), which Kylie ignored.
The actor said, “I just knew in my heart na magkakatrabaho ulit kami and we’ll know each other better.”
When they started working on “Los Bastardos” last year, Jake said, “We became friends first. We have a solid foundation of friendship.”
On the other hand, Kylie denied the rumors that Jake was the cause of her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, “No, not at all. It just didn’t work out. It was a difficult relationship.”
When asked if she and Jake have talked about marriage, Kylie said, “Jake and I aren’t the youngest of people. We’re not teenagers anymore. We’re two mature adults. We have our own careers. We’re two adults living our own lives but we complete each other.”
Jake said, “We’re taking it a day at a time. But for me, for the first time in my life, I can see it in the horizon.” He recalled that he would get “uneasy” talking about marriage before. “But now with Kylie and with where I am in my life, I can definitely see it in the horizon.”
The couple recently became proud parents to a cute pupper they named Nugget. They also attended the ABS-CBN Ball last weekend. (Cosmo.ph)
