ILOILO City — A lawyer’s driver was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at about 3:15 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Santo Niño Norte, Arevalo district.
Operatives of Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group (Raidsog) and Arevalo police station handcuffed Renante Torreno, 42, of South San Jose, Molo, after he sold a sachet of shabu for P500 to a poseur buyer.
Torreno, a driver of Atty. Edel Julio Romero, said he was in Arevalo to visit a friend. He was detained in Arevalo police station.
It was known that Torreno was on Raidsog’s list of suspected drug pushers and has been under surveillance./PN
