“THE Voice” coach Lea Salonga has taken to Twitter to praise her dear friend in the music industry – Ryan Cayabyab.
She wrote, “Kay ganda ng ating musika… dahil nariyan ka! Congratulations to our dearest Ryan Cayabyab, our country’s newest National Artist for Music!!! Maraming salamat sa mga awiting iyong nilikha upang mapaawit ang ating bansa!!!”
Ryan is a prominent musician and composer in the Philippine music industry. Some of Ryan’s original compositions included “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika,” “Da Coconut Nut,” and “Limang Dipang Tao.”
Likewise, the Tony award winning actress also posted on her Facebook page this year’s list of National Artists for Film, Visual Arts, Theater, Literature and Architecture.
Just recently, the Broadway theater actress also took time to appreciate the young artists in the local music scene like Daniel Padilla and JK Labajo. (Push)
