Iloilo City – A 29-year-old lending collector tagged as a high-value target was apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calajunan, Mandurriao district at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23.
The suspect identified as alias “Eiver” was caught in possession of 14 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 60 grams and valued at approximately P408,000.
Joint operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit, Police Station 5–Station Drug Enforcement Team, and Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) Regional Intelligence Unit 6 also recovered the buy-bust money, black motorcycle, and non-drug-related items.
The suspect was detained at the Police Station 5. He will be charged for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
