ILOILO City – A 32-year-old man jumped to his death from atop the flyover being constructed in Barangay Hibao-an Norte, Mandurriao district morning.
A resident of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao, he died of severe head injuries while being treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center.
According to Mandurriao police chief, Major Rey Sumagaysay, the suicide happened at around
2:45 a.m. Security guard Jelix Landbero saw the man shouting “Superman!” then jumped.
“There’s no foul play in his death,” Sumagaysay said.
The man was reportedly under the influence of liquor and illegal drugs.
