BACOLOD City – A man was arrested for allegedly violating Presidential Decree 1602, a law that prescribes stiffer penalties for illegal gambling.
The 41-year-old Nerrie Bayabade was caught on Monday at his house in Barangay Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Officers from the municipal police station served him a warrant of arrest that Judge Rosalinda Ybañez of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 001 in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental issued on May 15.
Bayabade was detained at the Hinoba-an police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P6,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
