ILOILO – A husband shot his wife to death and then killed himself in Barangay Amerang, Cabatuan town.
According to the Cabatuan Municipal Police Station, the 54-year-old alias “Niel” allegedly went home drunk from a birthday party around 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 3.
As he could not open the locked door, he destroyed it and immediately pulled out his gun and shot his wife, alias “Rhoda”, 48.
Police added that Niel went to the highway thereafter and also shot himself.
The couple was rushed to Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital but were both declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Cabatuan police said the wife sustained three gunshot wounds on her left face, left chest and knee.
Recovered from the crime scene were fired cartridge and live ammunition of caliber .45.
Police added that that couple had a misunderstanding and the husband was no longer living in their house for almost three months./PN
