BACOLOD City – A drug suspect was injured in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mansilingan.
The 22-year-old resident Judy Regala sustained a gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Regala fired his gun as he tried to evade arrest when police officers caught him after he sold suspected shabu for P300 on Oct. 3.
This prompted the police to shoot him.
Regala received treatment at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city.
Four sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P200,000, a .38-caliber revolver with ammunition and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the him, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of Police Station 7, facing charges./PN
