Mandurriao buy-bust nets two suspects, P340K ‘shabu’

ILOILO City – Operatives of the Iloilo City Police Station 10 (ICPS 10) arrested two high-value suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district around 3 a.m. on June 4.

The suspects, identified as aliases “Boss”, 22, a resident of Barangay Santo Niño Norte, Arevalo district,; and “Lex”, 21, from the district’s Barangay Calaparan, yielded around 50 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P340,000.

The drug enforcement team of ICPS 10 also seized P17,000 in buy-bust money.

Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, commended the operatives of ICPS 10 for the successful anti-drug operation.

“The success of this operation underscores the strong partnership of the police and the community, and the relentless campaign of the Iloilo City Police Office to shield communities from the peril of illegal drugs. Your police in the region will continue pursuing those opted to continue in the illegal activity,” he said.

The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of ICPS 10. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
