Manhunt launched for suspect who escaped Binalbagan drug bust

NEGROS Occidental – Authorities have launched a manhunt operation to arrest the suspect who escaped during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan town here on March 8.

Officers of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office’s (NOCPPO) Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Unit and the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station carried out the operation around 3:41 p.m. on Saturday.

They arrested aliases “Lyndon”, 35, tagged as a high-value target, and a resident of Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, and “Marvin”, 32, of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, and seized 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000.

However, the third suspect identified as alias “Andrew”, 42, managed to evade arrest.

Andrew remained at large as of yesterday, March 10, police said.

The two arrested individuals meanwhile are now in police custody. They will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
