MassKanamit 2025 brings more flavor to MassKara Festival

CELEBRATING the MassKara Festival wouldn’t be complete without a food trip and the fun of dining out. Beyond the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) and the public plaza, festivalgoers seeking more culinary options can head to The Upper East in Megaworld, where the Night Market has become livelier and more festive as the venue for MassKanamit 2025.

According to Joann Visitacion, head organizer of MassKanamit 2025, the event features more tenants, especially local and homegrown businesses.

“As you can see, we have the Weekend Night Market. This time, we collaborated and combined the two by adding more tenants — local and homegrown,” Visitacion said.

MassKanamit 2025 promises a different approach to the usual night market, offering a more colorful and vibrant experience as an added attraction to the MassKara Festival.

The event features an array of activities, including live bands, painting activities, singing contests, and other interactive events, making the dining experience of festivalgoers more fun and entertaining.

With an estimated 65 stalls, MassKanamit runs from October 1 to October 19, 4 p.m. to 12 midnight. Festival visitors can enjoy a wide range of culinary options, from Filipino favorites like lechon, inasal, KBL, cansi, and batchoy to international dishes such as Japanese, Malaysian, and Mongolian cuisine. The event promises a truly gastronomic experience for both locals and tourists.

MassKanamit also serves as a prelude to the Terra Madre Asia & Pacific, a major gastronomic event happening this November in Bacolod City. Local and international chefs will participate, with Bacolodnon cuisine expected to be proudly showcased.

Indeed, after enjoying the festivities at BCGC, a short walk to The Upper East offers the perfect dinner stop to further savor the MassKara Festival experience./PN
