MICHELLE Dee dismissed speculations of a falling-out with fellow beauty queen Chelsea Manalo, which circulated on social media after the latter had unfollowed the former on Instagram.

Reports of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 titleholder unfollowing her predecessor as well as her successor, Ahtisa Manalo, surfaced earlier this month on social media.

When asked about this during the recent Angels Walk 2025 event, Dee said, “I was honestly so surprised. I opened social media that day and I saw it on the headlines. I was completely clueless of what was happening,” as per Bandera.

Dee added that even her tweet at the time, which read “Practice what you preach,” was linked to the issue. She then clarified that the remark had nothing to do with Chelsea, pageantry and even show business.

“I didn’t know I was making headlines, even if I didn’t do anything,” she said, noting how a mutual friend of hers and Ahtisa informed her of the reports.

“Ahtisa didn’t know anything also so we’re both clueless,” she stated.

Speaking about Chelsea, Dee continued, “Maybe it was an accident, maybe she has her reasons. I do know she followed us back. On my end, I really have nothing to say.”

Dee also underscored that she has been extending help and advice to Chelsea and that she “welcomed her with open arms.”

“We have no bad blood. Nothing remotely happened that could have triggered it. I have yet to clarify that but I think we’re okay,” she added.

Chelsea, who already has Dee and Ahtisa back on her Instagram following list as of Tuesday, May 20, has yet to comment on the matter as of this writing. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
