
VETERAN center Myles Turner has agreed to a lengthy deal with Milwaukee Bucks just over a week after playing a key role in Indiana Pacers’ runner up finish in the NBA Finals.
According to a report by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the 29-year-old Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107 million deal plus a player option for year four in 2028-29 and a full 15% trade kicker with the Bucks.
To complete the deal, the Bucks have decided to release veteran guard Damian Lillard, who is recovering from an Achilles injury in the Eastern Conference playoff series against the Pacers.
The 6-foot-11 Turner shot a career-best 39.6% from the three-point range while averaging 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and a team-best 2.0 blocks per game for the Pacers last year.
The Bucks also traded veteran forward Pat Connaughton and two of their own second-round picks (2031, 2032) to Charlotte Hornets for Vasilije Micic.
Milwaukee also added depth to their backcourt by agreeing to a two-year deal with Gary Harris, while they will also renew the contract of backup big man Jericho Sims for the next two years.
Denver Nuggets, meanwhile, bolstered their frontline after acquiring veteran center Jonas Valanciunas from Sacramento Kings in exchange for forward Dario Saric.
The Nuggets also strengthened their shooting guard position after securing the services of Tim Hardaway Jr. via a one-year contract.
Detroit Pistons, on the other hand, landed Duncan Robinson via a sign-and-trade with Miami Heat in exchange for Simone Fontecchio. Robinson is set to sign a three-year, $48 million deal with the Pistons.
Jakob Poeltl has agreed to a four-year, $104 million extension with Toronto Raptors, while the team will also add Sandro Mamukelashvili to a two-year, $5.5 million deal.
In other NBA free agents signings, New York Knicks is signing center Guerschon Yabusele to a two-year contract, while Drew Eubanks is set to sign a one-year deal with Sacramento Kings.
Boston Celtics will ink up Josh Minott to a two-year, $5M contract, while Larry Nance Jr. has agreed to return to Cleveland Cavaliers following his stint with Atlanta Hawks.
Reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a four-year, $285 million super max extension with defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder, while Tre Mann also agreed to return to Charlotte Hornets on a three-year, $24M deal./PN
