BACOLOD City – He allegedly struck his brother on the head, police said.
A 15-year-old minor resident was arrested for killing his 17-year-old elder brother in Barangay Tagukon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, the victim was making a chicken cage when he and the suspect had a heated argument around 3:40 p.m. on April 12.
Upon seeing that the victim was armed with a knife, the suspect struck him using a piece of wood, the report added.
The victim was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where the attending physician declared him as “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Kabankalan City police station, meanwhile, conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PNs
