ILOILO City – Police were still trying to identify a suspect in stabbing a resident of Zone 4, Barangay San Juan, Molo district.
One of his friends may have attacked the 30-year-old construction worker Jimson Deleste, police said.
Deleste was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for the treatment of two stab wounds on the back.
At the time – at around 11:55 p.m. on April 28 – Deleste and several friends were binge drinking at the shoreline of Zone 4, Barangay San Juan, Molo.
A misunderstanding that ensued among them resulted in a commotion, which in turn led to Deleste getting stabbed.
His friends scampered toward different directions afterward, police said./PN
