CAPIZ – A 72-year-old mother and her daughter were found dead inside their residence at Sitio Riles in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City yesterday morning.
The mother was identified as Elma Perla. Her daughter, Ruby Jean Perla, 33, was a call center agent.
According to the victims’ neighbor, Roselyn Padio, she heard the eight-year-old child who was with the victims in the house shouting, “Wawa is going to the hospital. Open the door.”
Alarmed by the situation, the neighbor said she rang the doorbell several times but no one answered.
With the help of other residents, they decided to break the gate of the house to open it.
Roxas City police said the kitchen door was left opened and residents discovered the lifeless body of Elma covered with blood.
Ruby Jean’s body was found in the living room, lying on the floor, bleeding.
Her clothes were lifted and her underwear was exposed, police added.
Another woman neighbor said she heard a scream and a commotion inside the house of the victims around 5:45 am. yesterday.
Authorities, meanwhile, found no objects or weapons inside and around the house that may have been used to kill the victims.
As of this writing, investigators of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) were still probing the incident to identify the suspects and determine the motive of the killing./PN
