ILOILO – A 42-year-old man died and three others were injured when a tricycle and motorcycle collided in Barangay Gaub, Cabatuan town around 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 25.
According to the Cabatuan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the tricycle driven by alias “Jo” carrying one passenger identified as alias “Molong” overtook the vehicle in front of them.
Jo did not immediately notice the oncoming motorcycle driven by alias “Ron”, 42, with his backrider alias “Lisa”, both residents of the town’s Barangay Duyan-Duyan, and bumped them.
Police said Ron succumbed to fatal head injuries.
Jo, Molong and Lisa, meanwhile, sustained minor injuries and were in stable condition at the hospital.
The Cabatuan MPS added that the tricycle driver could face a charge of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and serious physical injury./PN
